Chapter of the Association of the US Army (AUSA)

Chapter of the Association of the
Our non-profit organization serves the Las Cruces , Alamogordo , White Sands, New Mexico and El Paso , Texas communities. The Range is located in South Central New Mexico in the beautiful Tularosa basin and is filled with the warmth and culture of the Civilian Personnel, Military Servicemembers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force who live and work here.
White Sands is the “Birthplace of Space and Missile Activity” and has a sturdy foundation of historical activity that has prepared it for future endeavors. It is forward-looking to supporting the nation’s warfighter with Future Combat Systems. The area is home to such famous pioneers as Dr. Clyde Tombaugh, discoverer of Pluto, and Dr. Wernher Von Braun, “father of modern rocketry”. Area highlights include the detonation of the atomic bomb at Trinity Site, the space shuttle Columbia landing at White Sands Space Harbor , the Victorio Peak treasure hunt, and missile defense program testing including Patriot and THAAD.
The WSMR mission is to provide superior testing and evaluation to provide our warfighters with the best weaponry.
In line with that, our Chapter’s goals are:
To provide soldiers with the superior resources and recognition they deserve and strive to provide soldier’s Families with the support they need.
We strive to be the “voice of the Army’ in bringing awareness of servicemember and civilian needs through support of AUSA resolutions to Congress.
We promote the goals of AUSA headquarters through professional development and recognition along with community outreach and soldier care.
AUSA is open to all ranks of all services, their Families, and supporters including Active Army, Army Reserve, National Guard, ROTC, and civilians. It is our hope that you will become a part of this first rate organization, supporting the needs of our servicemembers and Families during times
of war and peace.
