A large group of Soldiers and civilians gathered for our General Membership meeting on 15 NOV 05. We met at Duffy's Tavern outside the High Street Gate of the Presidio to enjoy a cheerful setting and excellent refreshments. Our guest speaker was COL Mansager, the DLI Post Commander, who spoke on the future of DLI and its place in the Army. The chapter also honored the NCO of the Quarter, SGT Swearingen, and the Soldier of the Quarter, SPC Smith from the 229th MI BN. During the meeting, the Stilwell chapter also received its Merit Chapter and Star Chapter awards, as presented by 6th Region President COL (ret.) Dave Appling and California State President MG (ret.) John Crowe.
