Message from the President;
Henry Leavenworth Chapter AUSA
Henry Leavenworth Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) is one of the first four ‘remote’ AUSA chapters. The chapter’s name honors Colonel Henry Leavenworth, who established the first permanent garrison west of the Missouri River on the bluffs north of the junction of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers in 1827. The chapter is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary of service to soldiers in 2006.
The Chapter supports Soldiers and their families stationed at or near the Army’s ‘hometown’ of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Henry Leavenworth Chapter’s long and distinguished history of service to the Army and its soldiers is a legacy well worth perpetuating. As the president of the Chapter, I welcome your interest in AUSA and invite you to join us as either an individual, corporate or sustaining member of the Association and help in writing the history of the next fifty years of being a ‘voice for the Army’ and supporting our nation’s most precious asset, our Soldiers.
