DETROIT CHAPTER ASSOCIATION OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY

 

The Detroit Chapter of the Association of the United States Army was chartered in 1959 with Don C. Pippel was Chapter President as its first president.  At that time the chapter membership included both Individual and Corporate members as it does today. 

 

The purpose of the Detroit Chapter of the Association of the United States Army is first to educate the public. Secondly the association provides a forum for the professional exchange of ideas and liaison with industry and defense leaders in the automotive arena.

 

The primary military organization in the Detroit Chapter area is the  TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, the Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Command, the Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support, the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems.
