OPERATION EXODUS

 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP SOLDIERS

 

       

Soldiers returning to Ft Benning and Ft Jackson on January 3, 2007

Food and car will be provided by Volunteers of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of AUSA.

During the 24 hour period over 3,900 Soldiers will be processed through Atlanta airport for return to there training at Ft. Benning, GA & Ft Jackson SC.  All will provided with sandwiches, drink, cookies, chips, fruit, yogurt, & a last supply of hoogie bait.  Over 80 Volunteers are needed to show the love for Soldiers and the sacrifice they give to defend our freedom.  All four of the local networks will cover the event and will be shown on the different newscast throughout the day.  A value of more approximately $5,000.00 is normally donated and purchased to provide the food.

LTG Whitcomb spoke at the November Quarterly Breakfast.  Even though the electricity went out just before he was to speak he still provide the spark and enlighten all of in attendance with his presentation.

The second Sunday of each month AUSA provides volunteers to assist the USO in welcoming Soldiers returning from both theaters of action.  The volunteers also assist those who have completed the two weeks at home and are returning to their units.  To volunteer contact:
